As we've mentioned a few times recently, Hiss Golden Messenger's Merge Records' debut, Lateness of Dancers, is due out on September 9. On his current European tour he took the time to film a performance of a new song.The filmmaking trio Before the Winter Fires used an old Beaulieu R16 film camera to shoot a performance of "Lucia" in Cornwall, England. Hiss Golden Messenger will play a free Merge 25 day party at the Orange County Social Club on Thursday, July 24, from 4 to 6 p.m. with Amor de Días.
The big album release show will be at the Cat's Cradle on Saturday, September 13, with Strand of Oaks and Alexandra Sauser-Monnig. Tickets are available via Ticketfly for $12.
